Glastonbury 2022

June 21, 2022

Words by: Arthur Cross

It’s back! The greatest party in the world returns to Worthy Farm and we’d be lying if we said we weren’t excited – we’ve pulled together a few acts from the monster line-up to check out, enjoy!

Arlo Parks

Since her Mercury prize win for Collapsed In Sunbeams it feels like we are all still enveloped in its afterglow. There is something at the core of this record that captures the human experience so beautifully as anxious and depressive moods coalesce. The listener however is not dragged in by these swirling waters but delicately buoyed by Arlo Park’s hopeful lyricism and skillful use of melody. It is only fitting that they will be playing as the sunsets and a plethora of colours suddenly fill the sky.

Friday – The Park Stage – 18:15 – 19:15

Grove

Grove known for their dutty breakbeats & electronic, punk-infused sounds and exploring identity, both personal and political, have had a huge year after a huge year in their ascent to the top. Recently they have toured with the likes of Bob Vylan and Metronomy tearing up the UK and Europe as they go. Expect to be beamed straight into a club from 3022 AD and thrown hurtling back to 2022 with your mind blown.

Thursday – Silver Hayes 18:00 – 18:30
Friday  – Shangri-La – 00:15 – 01:00
Saturday – Rumshack – 00:00 – 00:45

Ishmael Ensemble

A keystone of the UK’s Jazz Scene Ishmael Ensemble’s alternative electronic take on the genre makes them standouts in the scene. With praise from Giles Peterson, Mary Anne Hobbs and many others they are not ones to be missed. Let yourself transcend and float away.

Saturday –  The Crows Nest – Times N/A
Sunday – West Holts 11:00 – 12:00

Minor Conflict

Minor Conflict pair visceral story-telling with energetic harp, scattering drum beats and proud bass lines. Having only released one track straight to being booked for Glastonbury is a true testament that they are doing something fresh, invigorating and exciting.

Friday – Glade Dome – 15:30 – 16:20

Eva Lazarus

A truly independent artist Eva Lazarus has built up a die hard following with her own unique blend of Reggae, Hip Hop, DnB and Jungle. Expect immaculate vibes. We can’t recommend enough catch Grove on the Saturday with Eva playing right after – truly the perfect pairing and one set to lift you off into the night!

Thursday – Greenpeace – 12:30 – 13:15
Friday – The Glade – 20:05 – 21:05
Saturday – The Rum Shack – 01:15 – 02:00

Be sure to also have a look at our Factory Studios curated Spotify Playlist. See you in the fields!
